BlackBerry Storm 9550 Official Launch Confirmed!

Verizon has confirmed the release date of the BlackBerry Storm 9550 for the date of October 28, 2009. The price for the device will be $179 with a 2-yr contract after a mail in rebate. This is exciting news for BlackBerry Storm followers. Now it's official, and you can pick up the device this Wednesday!!!

BlackBerry OS 5.0 Available for select models.

BlackBerry has released the list of BlackBerry devices to receive the update to OS 5.0. The list is very specific because the hardware for older models needs to be able to run the O.S. The available memory that needs to be available to optimize the 5.0 OS is more than 64MB. For all you Curve owners for models 8300, 8310, and 8320 unfortunately these models will not reveice the update due to the lack of memeory. You would think that Curve model would receive the update because of it being capable of doing everything, but that's not the case. I have a Curve 8320, so im highly upset about this, but i'll just have to upgrade to experience the 5.o OS update. The BlackBerry devices that will recieve the update will be as follows:

• BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8200 series smartphones
• BlackBerry Curve 8330 smartphones
• BlackBerry Curve 8350i smartphones
• BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphones

I have great news, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is now available on T-Mobile's website and is worth the time to take a look inside what T-Mobile's version of the Bold 9700 will offer. I can well say that T-Mobile is upgrading it's BlackBerry line and giving its customers what they want.

RIM's upcoming device, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is one to be reckoned with! The device is somewhat similar to the BlackBerry Storm 9550, the specs on both devices are similar, but the Storm 2 out shines the Bold 9700 with its whopping 2GB's of on-board memory. This device will be available for both T-Mobile and AT&T customers and is expected to sale at $199.99 for a 2-Year contract agreement. This will be a huge hit with T-Mobile customer's being that it's their first BlackBerry device with 3G capability. The Bold 9700 is now enlisted on the BlackBerry website at www.blackberry.com.
